We stress the need to read and understand all the components of this handbook. Before signing, if there are any areas you do not understand, please have your Snelling Manager explain them to you.
Attendance
It is essential that each and every employee report to work on time each day so that we can continue to provide the very best of service for our customers on a timely basis.
The control of absence and tardiness is the direct responsibility of management and employees and requires the best possible interpersonal relationship between supervisors and their employees. All employees should strive for perfect attendance and therefore, good attendance is an important criteria of employability. In fairness to other employees the company will be required to terminate anyone who does not comply with company will be required to terminate anyone who does not comply with company attendance policies.

Authorized absence
a. When excused in advance by Snelling Personnel. An absence request form must be completed by employee and submitted to supervisor.
b. Family Emergency:(documented proof will be required)
1. Seriously ill family member
2. Child in trouble at school or with police
3. Death in the family
- Employee must notify Snelling Staffing as soon as possible.
c. Employee is sick or injured (Doctors excuse may be required to return to work)
- If possible, notify Snelling Staffing prior to your assigned work schedule start time. A doctor's excuse will be required for repeated illness.

Supervisor Action
Unauthorized absences and excessive unjustified tardiness are grounds for immediate dismissal.
For employees with chronic absentee or tardiness records the supervisor must capable of detecting irregular attendance quickly and be able to efficiently get to the bottom of the problem before the employee incurs significant losses to himself/herself or the company. It is the responsibility of the supervisor to take necessary action to improve the employee's work habits whenever possible. If the situation warrants, consultation with the Department Manager and/or Personnel Manager may be necessary.
An employee absent without notification to Snelling Staffing Services for three consecutive scheduled work days will be subject to termination.

Disciplinary
When an irregular pattern of attendance is detected the supervisor will bring the matter to the attention of the employee and complete a form entitled "EMPLOYEE WARNING NOTICE". This form requires the supervisor and employee (if possible) signatures and explanation of the progressive steps to be taken. This form will be placed in the employee's personnel file.
